Meet the Admin

FRANCINE BEATON is a romance writer who lives in South Africa with her Scottish husband and teenage daughter. When she’s not reading or writing about love and Happily Ever After, she’s most likely busy painting or taking photos of everything that catches her eye. During rugby season, you’ll either find her next to the pitch or in front of the television, following her favourite teams. It’s probably not difficult to figure out why her debut novel, Eye on the Ball, as well as the series, Playing for Glory, has rugby as a theme. Whenever she gets the opportunity, she loves travelling to faraway places and considers Scotland her second home.

Vida Li Sik is a freelance writer by day and an avid reader by night.
She grew up in a small town, in sunny South Africa, where there was not much to do. So she spent hours reading as many books as she could across different genres that transported her to locations around the world and beyond, through her vivid imagination. She has no pets, and while she wishes for a weird and wonderful hobby, she has yet to find one. In the meantime, she loves telling other people’s stories, real ones and imagined. She is a long-suffering sports fan and Bowled Over, her debut sports novel, was born from a desire for a happy ending in more ways than one.

Born in Mozambique, Eunice Nascimento discovered and fell in love with books at the age of fifteen after settling in the UK. Twenty years later - after working as an admin team leader, a HLTA and in various customer service roles - she wrote her first short story which was shortlisted for her local town’s Arts Council Pen to Print Competition and kickstarted her writing career. Eunice’s heart-warming collection of short stories Smile Again and the first book in her Felton Ridge Firefighter novelette series – Love By Chance –are now available on Amazon. When she’s not fixing her characters’ love lives, Eunice is usually dancing salsa, watching movies or reading.

Lidia grew up with a mother who taught her to read.  She started reading everything she could lay her hands on.  Reading became her main hobby and her passion.  Reading allowed her to escape to places unknown.  For a while she couldn't really give in to her love for books, until she found Kobo and Kindle.  This opened a whole new chapter in her life. While reading the e-books, she became more and more aware of grammar, spelling and formatting mistakes in the books.  She started thinking about getting in touch with the authors to offer her services as proofreader and editor.   Luckily she found a friend from her past life (who by the way is a published author herself) and asked her if she would like someone to read her books for reviews.  This quickly became an experiment for proofreading and voila! Lidia now finds herself in the world of advanced reader copies, new authors writing their first works of art and established authors looking for someone to review their books. This is how Lidia's Choice was born.
